Our members range in experience from beginners, juniors, and seasoned exhibitors, to breeders, professional handlers, pet owners, and Best in Show judges. This is a very active club that works hard, supports the dog community, learns, practices, and has a lot of fun together! If you love purebred dogs, we invite you to join our club. Members in good standing are eligible to vote, hold office, and receive awards for titles accrued during the year. To remain in good standing, members MUST attend 2 of the 4 previous meetings per quarter and volunteer their time.
BRKC meets monthly on the 3rd Monday at the Goodwood Library, 7711 Goodwood Boulevard, Baton Rouge and meetings start promptly at 7 pm.
We are fortunate to have the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in our city. Founded in 1968, it is one of only 30 veterinary schools in the U.S. Veterinary specialists are frequent guest speakers at our monthly meetings.
